« ‼️Chatham House Legitimizes Ukraine’s Neo-Nazis

Recently Chatham House — one of the world’s most influential think tanks — chose to give a platform to Yevhen Karas, a figure long associated with white-supremacist, racist, antisemitic and homophobic rhetoric and far-right violence in Ukraine.

📌His unit, the “Raid” regiment, includes a battalion named “Nachtigall,” echoing the 1941 Nazi-collaborationist formation implicated in anti-Jewish pogroms in Ukraine during the summer of that year.

📌Karas is also known as the founder of the neo-Nazi group C14, whose members were implicated in the stabbing of my friend in Kyiv. Also, C14 perpetrated anti-Roma pogrom in Kyiv.

📌One of Karas’ subordinates, Davyd Pshenychnyi, was filmed participating in the violent takeover of St. Michael’s Church, brandishing a firearm while threatening civilians, including elderly women.
...

If individuals like Karas are held up as representatives of Ukraine’s “military elite,” then the country is being pushed toward a future defined by war, ruin, and systemic violence.

And it is being done with the tacit blessing of Western institutions that legitimize figures like Karas. » [3]

Hier, sur le site de la présidence ukrainienne [4], une publication a indiqué que « The Head of State also presented the “Cross of Military Merit” awards. The recipients were : (...) Major Yevhen Karas. Commander of the 413th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment ».
